Boxers are muscular and strong dogs that have a square bulldog-type muzzle that actually characterize the breed. They have an energetic and elastic gait animals with a short coat and therefore easy to groom. The usual colors of the breed are fawn and brindle; these colors are acceptable by the standard. There can be white markings on the body and the eyes should be dark brown.

Height: 21-25 in (53-63 cm)
Weight: 53-70 lbs (24-32 kg) The body of the dog is well proportioned and strongly built. The dogs are very compact, strong, muscular and square-shaped. The males are naturally bigger than females.
Eyes: The eyes are dark and set wide apart and are not excessively prominent.
Ears: The ears are well set apart.

Boxers Rescues Pictures - Head

The head is the main characteristic of the breed. It must be of harmonious proportions and the muzzle is 1/3 the distance between the occiput and the tip of the nose and 2/3 the skull width. The occiput should not be protruding. The face of the dog is highly expressive and the wrinkles reflect a dog's mood with an amusing precision. The upper jaw is shorter than the lower one. The teeth of the Boxers meet in the scissors bite.
